Predjama Castle

Predjama Castle is a unique medieval fortress built directly into the rock face. It's famous for the legend of the knight Erazem of Predjama, who is said to have used a secret cave passage to withstand a long siege.

A visit takes you through the castle's chambers, armoury and dungeon, while beneath the castle a network of caves can be explored on a guided tour. The castle is only about 10 minutes from Postojna Cave, making the two a popular combination for a single day trip.
